This portable refractometer allows for quick and easy measurements without fumbling. When measuring hot coffee with a conventional refractometer, the measurements tend to fluctuate at the beginning. This is because it takes some time before the temperature of the coffee is detected by the refractometer sensor. The refractometer waits until the sample temperature is accurately measured to begin measuring, thus obtaining accurate, stable measurements. Although this depends on the preparation method, it takes a long time before freshly brewed coffee above 80°C has completely cooled down. With this refractometer, measurement fluctuations of less than 0.1% are reported. This high repeatability allows even inexperienced users to achieve accurate results. Manufacturers recommend the user to take 3 consecutive measurements to ensure absolute accuracy. You can be confident that the 3rd measurement is the fully stabilized value.
